Ocimum basilicum - Basil 'Beaujolais'

It combines attractive garden colour with the classic fragrance and flavour associated with basil, making it well suited to borders, containers, and herb gardens.
Exposure: Sheltered position protected from strong winds. Not coastal tolerant; exposure to salt-laden winds can damage growth.

Soil: Fertile, moist but well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
Sun: Full sun.
Flowering Time: July–September.
Uses: Culinary; ornamental.
Wildlife Benefits: The nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects when allowed to bloom.
