All our Crooked Boot plants are grown by us Aimi and Lucy Pinder, by seed or cuttings, on our 8 acre smallholding in Ballydehob, West Cork. Here we also raise our two children, grow food, create habitat for biodiversity using techniques inspired by organics, permaculture, and rewilding.
Through our plant nursery our mission is to grow and share nature friendly plants that help people reconnect with nature and enhance biodiversity. Sustainability is fundamental to what we do, using no peat, no synthetic chemicals and 'serving' our wares to you in lovely biodegradable rice hull pots.
To us, gardens are more than decorative spaces. They are places to nourish ourselves, to connect with our natural world, support our mental and physical wellbeing, create community and take meaningful local action on global existential challenges of biodiversity loss and climate change.
By making affordable, nature-supporting plants accessible to home gardeners and communities alike we aim to help turn everyday growing spaces into thriving ecosytems.
