Borago officinalis - Borage 'White'

This cottage garden favourite is now available in white. An annual herb with bristly stems, hairy leaves, and white star-shaped flowers. Valued in herb gardens, companion planting, and for its edible leaves and flowers, it is easy to grow and highly attractive to pollinators.

• Exposure: Moderately wind-tolerant; tolerates mild coastal conditions if sheltered.
• Size: 60–100 cm tall; 30–50 cm wide.
• Soil: Well-drained, moderately fertile soils; tolerates a wide range of garden soils.
• Sun: Full sun for best flowering; tolerates partial shade.
• Flowering Time: Summer (typically June–September).
• Uses: Culinary and medicinal; leaves and flowers are edible, used in salads, teas, and garnishes.
