Nepeta x faassenii - Catmint 'Hill Grounds'

Nepeta ‘Hill Grounds’ is a vigorous, long-flowering catmint valued for its aromatic grey-green foliage and masses of soft lavender-blue flowers. Forming a dense, spreading mound, it provides months of colour and is particularly effective at the front of borders, in gravel gardens, and alongside roses.

  • Size: Approximately 50–60 cm high × 50–70 cm spread.
  • Soil: Well-drained soil; tolerant of poor, sandy, chalky, and moderately fertile soils. Avoid prolonged waterlogging.

  • Uses: Aromatic herbaceous perennial; foliage is attractive to cats and can be used in informal sensory gardens.
  • Wildlife Benefits: Exceptionally attractive to bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects, providing a valuable nectar source over a long flowering season.
