Leucanthemum x superbum - Crazy Daisy

‘Crazy Daisy’ is a striking Shasta daisy cultivar with large, fully double white flowers featuring frilly, quilled petals surrounding creamy-yellow centres. Flowering over a long summer season, it brings a bright, cottage-garden charm to borders and makes an excellent cut flower.

  • Exposure: Best in open or lightly sheltered positions. Good wind tolerance, though taller flowering stems may benefit from support in very exposed sites. Moderately tolerant of coastal conditions.
  • Size: Approximately 60–75 cm high × 45–60 cm spread.
  • Soil: Moist but well-drained soil; performs best in fertile soils enriched with organic matter.
  • Sun: Full sun.
  • Flowering Time: June to September.
  • Wildlife Benefits: Flowers attract bees, hoverflies, and other pollinating insects. Seed heads may provide a minor food source for birds if left standing into autumn.
