Agrostemma githago - Corncockle

An annual wildflower with slender stems and striking magenta-pink, star-shaped flowers. Once native to Ireland, though it is no longer considered a true native. Historically common in cereal fields, it is now grown in wildflower meadows and cottage gardens for its ornamental charm.
